1953 – Through the Dust by Matheos & Georgios is a sound art participatory documentary aimed at preserving the stories from the 1953 Great Kefalonian Earthquake. In 1953, located in West mainland of Greece, the island of Kefalonia(Cephalonia) was struck by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that changed the lives of all inhabitants of the island. It had severe effects on their economy, society, culture, and ultimately individual lives.
